Departure

Nov. 23, 2019. Las Palmas, Canary Islands.

We leave tomorrow, internet is very slow – all 240 boats must be on line! My  Youtube video on Las Palmas will need to be posted after we arrive in St. Lucia a couple weeks from now.

Our full crew is now on board and is very international: Robert Levy (Canadian) and Patrizia Fanelli (Italian) arrived earlier this week; Benjamin Sueur (French) arrived late last night. Benjamin brought 6 bottles of good French wine as a present from Outremer. (Thank you Xavier!!!). We will save them and look forward to enjoying those after we arrive in the Caribbean.  Krista and Michael  (my sister and brother-in-law) and  Marie-Pierre and Adam (daughter and son-in-law) will join us for Christmas and help us sample the wine!!!

The ARC provided a GPS transponder, and you can follow our progress on the ARC web site: https://www.worldcruising.com/arc/arc/eventfleetviewer.aspx

There is no wind to light wind predicted. A tropical depression in the north Atlantic is sucking all the air away and leaving no wind in this part of the world. We will have final weather tomorrow morning, and decide on our route. It is not simple!
